Americanism Program

Our Unit’s Americanism program is designed to inspire, recognize and perpetuate responsible citizenship
through our own acts of patriotism, by our appreciation of our Veterans sacrifices for our freedom and by
educating our youth and our community about respect for our country and our nation’s flag. We create
opportunities to do this through our activities within our community. See a full description of these on our
activities page of this website.

Children and Youth Program

One of our Unit’s core values is to care for our children and youth and to work with organizations that care for
our youth such as the American Legion, the children of deployed service members, Head Start and our
Communities schools.

Community Service Program

Our Unit recognizes that the community is an important part of our American way of life. American Legion
Auxiliary Unit 333 has been a continuing and vital member of the Sun Prairie Community since 1924. Our
Unit’s members volunteer throughout the community and our Unit has given approximately $3,000 annually to
Sun Prairie Veterans and the Sun Prairie Community.

Education Program

Our Unit believes that investing time and money into educating our youth is the best investment we can make
to America’s future. We do this by providing educational services to groups throughout the community and by
providing scholarships to our Junior members who attend Sun Prairie High School.

Legislative Program

The American Legion Auxiliary acts as advocates to keep veterans’ issues in front of our local, state and
federal officials.

National Security Program

By supporting activities that address the practical and emotional well-being of military service members and
their families, the Auxiliary’s National Security program hopes to ease the worries of those deployed so that
they can focus on the monumental task of protecting our country.

Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Program

Unit 333 sponsors and participates in programs and services that assist and enhance the lives of veterans
and their families.
